What We Do at Loving to Learn

We meet twice a month in one large group for our history theme and weekly in smaller groups to teach writing, science, or any other subject that the parents want to collaborate on to tap into each other’s complementary strengths. Each class combines a solid academic concept with a creative hands-on aspect to solidify the learning.

Loving to Learn is the history version of the Magic School Bus. With the help of sets, props, costumes, and a little imagination, we go back in time to explore our world. Each year we study one of the following topics:

Arizona

We study every aspect of the fun state we live in: the geography, the history, the people, the plants, and the animals. As families we visit as many of the towns, and travel to as many of the national forests and historical sites as we can. This is also a great preview or review of all of the history, through the perspective of Arizona.
